Over the past two months, civil society groups from all over the world within the CBD Alliance network have been discussing, debating and coming to agreement on what they believe to be the key issues for the Hyderabad COP.
The CBD Alliance is a network of civil society organizations who have a common interest in the Convention on Biological Diversity.
The Convention on Biological Diversity is a Convention under the UN system, one of the three RÃo Conventions, which aims its work to preserve biodiversity and ensure its sustainable use.
The CBD Alliance exists to facilitate more diverse, coordinated, and effective civil society input into CBD policy-making.

 1.    The CBD Alliance is a network of civil society organization, working together to positively influence the CBD negotiations, and the implementation of the Convention.
Since its inception in 2002, the CBD Alliance has become the focal point for civil society around the CBD. Following the broad mandate, the CBD Alliance has achieved many successes:
